What is The Grace Bible and who is behind it?
The Grace Bible is a new covenant study Bible written by Dr. Paul Ellis. The book is a crowd-funded project produced by KingsPress.
The Grace Bible combines the word-for-word accuracy of the NASB translation with fresh, grace-based commentary. Every verse and phrase is unpacked in easy-to-read language that highlights the good news of Jesus.
Why do we need another study Bible?
Many study Bibles and commentaries mix grace with law, leaving readers confused. Bible commentaries are sometimes dry, dense and filled with jargon. In contrast, The Grace Bible uniquely explains Scripture through the unfiltered lens of grace—and does so in language that is clear and accessible.

When will the Grace Bible be finished?
When will we reach the limit of God’s goodness? The Grace Bible series may never be “finished” because there is always more to discover about the grace of God.
The first installment was published in late 2022, covering the letters of 1–3 John and Jude. Since then, additional volumes have covered 1–2 Peter and James (2023), Galatians and Ephesians (2024), Philippians, Colossians, Philemon and Romans (2025).
Based on this rate of progress, completing a first pass through the New Testament will take several more years. But you don’t have to wait—early drafts covering thousands of scriptures are already available on the Grace Commentary website.
